Gold Band

The RHS Gold Band (Concert Band) increased its enrollment for the 4th consective year. The band consists of 47 members, up from 32 the previous year. The band has set its sights on "Striving for Excellence."

Traditionally the band is made up of sophomores and upperclassmen who desire to learn a second instrument. Fundamentals are stressed as the band strives to become one band. Our feeder schools, Sandridge Jr, Roy Jr,and Rocky Mountain Jr High Schools have done a great job in preparing the students for their high school performance career. Thanks to each director for the time and patience with the students.

The first concert of the year was just completed and the Gold Band excelled in its performance. They left the audience laughing and rolling in the aisles with their performance of "Concerto Gross." Featuring the kazoo talents of Jessie Drollinger, Michelle Jensen, Jake Foster, Skyler Kay and Stephanie Mitchell. Stay tuned for what comes next in December.
